Reporting Problems with Footpaths and Bridleways

Resources for maintaining footpaths and bridleways are in decline, so if you see signs of neglect in the Mytholmroyd and Cragg Vale areas, please report the problem to Mytholmroyd Walkers' Action. We can then keep up the pressure on the council to maintain our footpaths and bridleways.

Completing the Report Form

You don't have to give your name or contact details, but we would like to get in touch with people who have reported problems, either to clarify the problem or to report on progress. Please be as specific as you can when describing the problem and the location. An OS grid reference and/or footpath number really helps pinpoint the location. If the problem prevents access (rather than just being a nuisance), it could make a difference as to the council's responsibility. Anything else might be about the landowner, whether the problem is weather related, or other information that you think might be relevant. If you can, please send us a photo of the problem, as this will help the council gauge whether a site visit is necessary.
